Scopes
42CrMo4 | 1.7225 is a versatile heat-treated steel, which is characterized by its high strength and toughness. It is mainly used in mechanical engineering, and for vehicle and automotive use. Gear, crankshafts and connecting rods are manufactured from it.

Characteristics
42CrMo4 | 1.7225 is very difficult to weld and is therefore not suitable for welded structures. If welding is unavoidable, a heat treatment is recommend.
