H11 Tool Steel/1.2343/SKD6
H11 Tool Steelis a
premium, deep-hardening, air-hardening steel renowned for its minimal size change during heat treatment. Compared to the widely-used H13 tool steel, H11 contains less vanadium, leading to exceptional toughness, excellent thermal strength, robust thermal fatigue properties, and notable wear resistance at medium temperatures. Its air quenching process at a lower austenitizing temperature ensures minimal heat treatment deformation and reduced oxidation. Additionally, H11 tool steel can withstand the corrosive effects of molten aluminum.

7. Applications of H11 Tool Steel
H11 tool steel is ideal for hot tooling applications requiring maximum resistance to cracking. These applications include hot punches, die casting dies, forging dies, hot shear blades, hot gripper dies, and extrusion tooling. Tools made from chromium hot-work steels, like H11, can be water-cooled without damage due to their low carbon and alloy contents. Additionally, thanks to H11's impressive medium thermal strength, it is also used in manufacturing structural parts for aircraft and rockets, operating within a temperature range of 752~932°F(400~500°C).
