AISI 1144 Carbon Steel
1144 steel, also known as stress-proof steel, is a free-machining carbon steel that contains added sulfur and lead to improve its machinability. It is known for its excellent machinability, high tensile strength, and good wear resistance. 1144 steel is commonly used in applications where high strength, good surface finish, and ease of machining are required.
