Heat Treatment

1. Annealing
In a controlled environment, heat gradually to 780 ºC then reduce to 650 ºC in the furnace at a rate of 10 ºC per hour before cooling in open air.
2. Stress Elimination
Post-roughing, the steel needs heating to 650 ºCmaintaining that heat for 2 hours, then gradually reducing to 500 ºCfollowed by air cooling.
3. Hardening
Preheat the steel to a range of 600-850 ºC
and quench at 980-1050 ºC
