PM390/ASP 2052 HSS Grade - (Powder HSS T42), also known as ASP2052, is a superior high-performance powder metallurgical material. This steel boasts an optimal composition, including 8% cobalt, high vanadium, 10% tungsten, chromium, and molybdenum. Heat treatable to a remarkable HRC 67-69, its high carbon, vanadium, and cobalt content delivers abrasion resistance akin to T15 and red hardness surpassing M42. With exceptional hardness, a fine grain size, and uniform carbide distribution, it is the ultimate choice for special-purpose cutting tools. Ideal for machining nickel-base and titanium alloys, heavy and interrupted cuts, such as gear hobs, shapers, milling cutters, twist drills, taps, and broaching tools.
