Top-Grade PM390/ASP 2052 High-Speed Steel (HSS) Material Grade Information - (Powder HSS T42), also recognized as ASP2052, is a superior Powder Metallurgical material. It features an optimal blend of high cobalt (8%), high vanadium, high tungsten (10%), chromium, and molybdenum alloyed steel. This material is heat-treatable to an impressive HRC 67-69. Its elevated carbon, vanadium, and cobalt content ensure exceptional abrasion resistance, comparable to T15, and provide red hardness superior to M42. With high hardness, a fine grain size, and uniform carbide distribution, it is an excellent choice for specialized cutting tools that demand high red hardness, superior abrasion resistance, and good toughness. Ideal for machining nickel-base and titanium alloys, as well as for heavy and interrupted cuts in gear hobs, shapers, milling cutters, twist drills, taps, and broaching tools.
