H11 Tool Steel/1.2343/SKD6
H11 Tool Steel is a
deep-hardening, air-hardening steel that exhibits minimal size change during heat treatment. With less vanadium than the popular H13 tool steel, H11 provides excellent toughness, impressive thermal strength, and strong thermal fatigue properties. It offers moderate wear resistance at medium temperatures. Air quenching at low austenitizing temperatures minimizes heat treatment deformation and reduces iron oxide formation. Additionally, H11 resists molten aluminum corrosion.

- Follow optimal heat treatment parameters to maximize mold life potential.
7. Applications of H11 Tool Steel
H11 tool steel is ideal for hot tooling applications requiring maximum crack resistance. Suitable for hot punches, die casting dies, forging dies, hot shear blades, hot gripper dies, and extrusion tooling. Chromium hot-work steel tools can be water-cooled without damage due to their low carbon and alloy contents. H11's good medium thermal strength also makes it suitable for aircraft and rocket structural parts operating at 752~932°F(400~500°C).
