1.2367 is a high-alloyed hot work tool steel characterized by its excellent combination of toughness, wear resistance, and thermal stability. It belongs to the category of chromium-molybdenum-vanadium hot work steels and is widely used in the manufacturing industry for producing tools and molds subjected to high temperatures and mechanical stress.

Heat Treatment:
Annealing: Heat uniformly at 840-880°C (1544-1616°F), hold for sufficient time, then slowly cool in the furnace to below 600°C (1112°F) for complete annealing.
Quenching: Preheat slowly to the austenitizing temperature of 1010-1050°C (1850-1922°F), then quench rapidly in oil or air to achieve full hardness.
Tempering: Immediately after quenching, temper at 560-600°C (1040-1112°F) for 2-3 hours, followed by air cooling to obtain the desired combination of hardness and toughness.
