PM390/ASP 2052 High-Speed Steel (HSS) Superior Grade - Powder HSS T42, also recognized as ASP 2052, is an exceptional high-performance powder metallurgical material. Featuring an optimal blend of 8% cobalt, high vanadium, high tungsten (10%), chromium, and molybdenum alloyed steel, it can be heat treated to achieve an impressive HRC 67-69. The high carbon, vanadium, and cobalt contents endow it with abrasion resistance comparable to T15 and red hardness exceeding that of M42. With its superior hardness, fine grain size, and uniform carbide distribution, ASP 2052 is the ideal choice for special-purpose cutting tools demanding high red hardness, excellent abrasion resistance, and robust toughness.
