T15 high speed steel

Properties:

- Fine Grain Structure: T15 steel is characterized by a fine grain structure, contributing to its excellent toughness, wear resistance, and machinability.
Heat Treatment:
T15 steel undergoes a series of heat treatment processes to achieve its desired mechanical properties:
- Annealing: Heat to 850-900°C, followed by slow cooling in the furnace to relieve internal stresses and refine the grain structure.
- Hardening: Heat to 1190-1230°C, followed by oil quenching to achieve maximum hardness.
- Tempering: Temper at 540-565°C to improve toughness and reduce brittleness while maintaining high hardness.
Surface Treatment:
Surface treatments such as coating with TiN (Titanium Nitride) or TiAlN (Titanium Aluminum Nitride) can further enhance the wear resistance and lubricity of T15 steel cutting tools, extending tool life and improving machining performance.
