Product Description

Introduction:
S136 mold steel with excellent corrosion resistance has been widely applied in the mold industry. However, in order to meet the increasing demands of injection products with complex structure and high quality, selective laser melting (SLM) as a novel manufacturing method is chosen due to its rapid fabricating parts with complex geometric shapes. Further, it is essential to enhance their hardness and wear property to prolong the service life of the injection mold.

Heat treatment

1.Annealing
In a protected state, heat up to 780 ºC and then cool to 650 ºC in the furnace at 10 ºC per hour and then cool in the air.
2.Stress elimination
After roughing, must be heated to 650 ºC, both hot 2 hours, slowly cooling to 500 ºC, and then cooling in the air.
3.Hardened
Preheating Temperature: 600-850 ºC
Quenching temperature: 980-1050 ºC

Application

High degree of polishing and high requirements of the internal mold, corrosion-resistant plastic molds, production, medical, food industry, and other products. S136 can be used with all molds, due to their special nature, more suited to the needs of special environments.
