PM390/ASP 2052 HSS Grade - (Powder HSS T42), also known as ASP2052, is an exceptional high-performance powder metallurgical material. Featuring an optimal composition of 8% cobalt, high vanadium, 10% tungsten, chromium, and molybdenum alloyed steel, it can be heat-treated to an impressive HRC 67-69. The high carbon, vanadium, and cobalt content deliver abrasion resistance on par with T15 and red hardness surpassing M42. Its exceptional hardness, fine grain structure, and uniform carbide distribution make it the premier choice for specialized cutting tools demanding superior red hardness, high abrasion resistance, and robust toughness. Ideal for machining nickel-base and titanium alloys, it excels in heavy and interrupted cuts. This grade is perfect for gear hobs, shapers, milling cutters, twist drills, taps, and broaching tools.
