PM390/ASP 2052 HSS Grade - (Powder HSS T42) also known as ASP2052 is a remarkable high-performance powder metallurgical steel. Featuring an optimal high cobalt content (8%), high vanadium, high tungsten (10%), along with chromium and molybdenum alloys, this material can be heat-treated to achieve an impressive HRC of 67-69. Its rich composition of high carbon, vanadium, and cobalt delivers outstanding abrasion resistance comparable to T15, while offering superior red hardness than M42. Thanks to its high hardness, fine grain size, and uniform carbide distribution, ASP2052 excels in crafting special-purpose cutting tools that demand exceptional red hardness, maximum abrasion resistance, and commendable toughness. Perfect for machining nickel-base and titanium alloys, as well as for heavy and interrupted cuts, this versatile material is ideal for manufacturing gear hobs, shapers, milling cutters, twist drills, taps, and broaching tools.
