Heat treatable to an impressive HRC 67-69, its high carbon, vanadium, and cobalt content ensure abrasion resistance on par with T15 and red hardness superior to M42. Thanks to its high hardness, fine grain size, and uniform carbide distribution, it is ideally suited for crafting special-purpose cutting tools that demand exceptional red hardness, superior abrasion resistance, and excellent toughness. It is perfect for machining nickel-base and titanium alloys, and handles heavy and interrupted cuts with aplomb.
