PM390/ASP 2052 HSS Grade - (Powder HSS T42) also known as ASP2052, is an elite, high-performance powder metallurgical material boasting an optimal composition: 8% cobalt, high vanadium, 10% tungsten, chromium, and molybdenum. This advanced material can be heat-treated to an impressive HRC 67-69. Its high carbon, vanadium, and cobalt content ensures abrasion resistance on par with T15 and superior red hardness compared to M42. Thanks to its high hardness, fine grain size, and uniform carbide distribution, it stands out as the premier choice for specialized cutting tools demanding exceptional red hardness, superior abrasion resistance, and robust toughness. Ideal for machining nickel-base and titanium alloys, it excels in heavy and interrupted cuts, making it perfect for gear hobs, shapers, milling cutters, twist drills, taps, and broaching tools.
